Consultancy
ACES undertakes research on a consultancy basis for a range of clients including national governments and their agencies, local government, NGOs, and the private sector. The Centre combines the expertise of the University of Aberdeen and The Macaulay Institute in a partnership which delivers worldwide expertise across a range of environmental fields.
The core staff of the Centre have particular expertise in the management of biological resources, agriculture and land use policy, and water management and planning. Past projects have been undertaken for the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, SNIFFER (Scotland and Northern Ireland Forum For Environmental Research), Scottish Natural Heritage, and DEFRA, among others.
